Kappa Kolor 5K
Kappa Kolor is our annual fall philanthropy event, which is a 5K run held around sorority row here in College Station. This year, Kappa welcomed around 1,000 participants to the Kappa house for a very fun and successful philanthropy event. We provided food, music, and lots of color for our participants. We raised $51,462.25 for our local philanthropy, the Nehemiah Center of Navasota. Thank you to everyone who participated in Kappa Kolor this year. We couldn’t have done it without your support!
Kappa Kolor benefits The Nehemiah Center of Navasota, an after-school program for the children of Navasota. Not only does Kappa raise money to donate to the programs at Nehemiah, but numerous Kappas also travel to Navasota on a weekly basis to tutor and play with the children. In addition, Kappa holds an annual Reading Is Fundamental event at Nehemiah, in which books are donated and Kappas emphasize the importance of reading with the kids. Nehemiah is a program that is very dear to Kappa, and we are extremely privileged to get the opportunity to impact the lives of these children.
